On December 8, the day the regime in Syria was overthrown, celebrations continued across the country as a National Holiday was declared. A scene also emerged from Fatih, Istanbul, where a large group of Syrian migrants was seen celebrating with flags in hand.
Celebrations in the country continue unabated on the first anniversary of the end of the civil war in Syria and the Bashar al-Assad regime on December 8, 2024.

As celebration footage from Syria comes in, a video recorded on a mobile phone in Fatih, Istanbul, where many migrants reside, also made a significant impact.
