The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ruled for the release on bail of Khan, who is being tried for not disclosing the details of the gifts he received during his premiership and for selling those gifts.

Former Prime Minister Khan's wife, Bushra Bibi, was released from the prison where she was held after the decision to release her on bail in the corruption case against her in October.



Khan and Bibi were convicted of corruption related to the gifts Khan received during his premiership and were sentenced to 14 years in prison each on January 31, but their convictions were suspended in April.
