The general managers have changed at the public banks Vakıfbank and Halkbank. Osman Aslan has been appointed as the general manager of Vakıfbank, replacing Abdi Serdar Üstünsalih. The new general manager of Halkbank is Recep Süleyman Özdil.
Significant changes have been made in the management levels of public banks VakıfBank and Halkbank.
Accordingly, VakıfBank General Manager Abdi Serdar Üstünsalih has stepped down. Osman Aslan, who was serving as the General Manager of Halkbank, has been appointed in Üstünsalih's place. Recep Süleyman Özdil, a member of the bank's Board of Directors, has been assigned to the vacant general manager position at Halkbank.
No changes have been made in the management of Ziraat Bankası as part of the personnel changes among public banks.
Osman Aslan WHO IS OSMAN ARSLAN? He was born in 1971 in Ankara. He graduated from the Department of Statistics at the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Middle East Technical University. He completed his master's degree in the Department of Business Administration at the Institute of Social Sciences of the same university. Arslan started his career at Ziraat Bankası in 1995. He worked as a manager in various private sector banks between 1998 and 2004. Between 2004 and 2012, he held positions as Department Manager, Department Head, Deputy General Manager at Türkiye Halk Bankası AŞ, and General Manager at Arab Turkish Bank. Since March 2012, he has continued his duties at Ziraat Bankası as the Deputy General Manager responsible for Financial Management, from January 2013 as the Deputy General Manager of International Banking and Partnerships, and from August 2014 as the Deputy General Manager of Information Technology Management. Osman Arslan, who served as the Founding General Manager of Ziraat Participation Bank AŞ between February 2015 and June 2017, has been serving as the General Manager and Board Member of Türkiye Halk Bankası AŞ since June 8, 2017.
Recep Süleyman Özdil WHO IS RECEP SÜLEYMAN ÖZDİL? He was born in 1961 in Istanbul. He graduated from the Department of Economics at the Faculty of Political Sciences of Ankara University. Özdil began his professional career as an Inspector in a private company in 1984 and continued as a Specialist, Assistant Manager, and Branch Manager at Albaraka Türk Special Finance Institution AŞ between 1986 and 1993.
After serving as the Financing Coordinator in a private company between 1993 and 1995, he held the position of Deputy General Manager at İhlas Finance Institution AŞ between 1995 and 2001 and at Family Finance Institution AŞ between 2001 and 2005. Recep Süleyman Özdil served as a Board Member and General Manager of United Fund Bank AŞ between 2005 and 2011, and as a Board Member of the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund between 2011 and 2014. He has been serving as the Chairman of the Board of Türkiye Halk Bankası AŞ since August 28, 2015.
