The proposal to withdraw the flat salary increase of 30,000 lira suggested for public sector managers and expert personnel has drawn the reaction of experts from the Ministry of Finance. A large group of employees gathered in the ministry's courtyard to stage a silent protest.
The proposal regarding salary adjustments for high-level public officials was accepted in the Planning and Budget Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey.
THE REGULATION COVERED 30 THOUSAND PEOPLE
The regulation covered approximately 30 thousand people, including general managers, heads of institutions, inspectors, auditors, ambassadors, as well as experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other ministries.
WITHDRAWN DUE TO LACK OF CONSENSUS IN THE ASSEMBLY
However, the proposal for a flat increase of 30 thousand lira for high-level bureaucrats was withdrawn due to the lack of consensus in the Assembly.
