The German Football Association has canceled Atakan Karazor's red card penalty.

The German Football Federation has made a decision regarding Atakan Karazor, who was sent off due to a faulty second yellow card in the Wolfsburg match.

RED CARD PENALTY CANCELED

In a statement from the federation, it was expressed that a referee error was identified in the red card shown to Atakan Karazor. For this reason, the red card has been canceled, but the validity of the first yellow card remains.

WHAT HAPPENED?

In the 5th week of the Bundesliga, Atakan Karazor was sent off with a red card in the 63rd minute of the Wolfsburg-Stuttgart match. The referee of the match, Sven Jablonski, showed a red card for a second yellow card, claiming that Karazor committed a foul in the situation. However, it was reflected on the screen that Wolfsburg's Maximilian Arnold stepped on Karazor's foot. Stuttgart completed the match with 10 players, and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

VAR COULD NOT INTERVENE

Due to the referee showing a red card from the second yellow card to Atakan Karazor, VAR could not intervene in this decision. Sven Jablonski would have had the chance to intervene if he had shown a direct red card to the 27-year-old player.
