It has been revealed that there have been no incidents of snatching and pickpocketing in Amasya in the last two years. Governor Önder Bakan stated that there has been a decrease in law enforcement incidents in the city, where peace prevails, over the past two years.
The Governor of Amasya, Önder Bakan, who attended the program where 69 personnel were awarded certificates of achievement at the Amasya Provincial Police Department, pointed out that there have been no reported incidents of robbery and pickpocketing in the last two years.
NO ROBBERY AND PICKPOCKETING INCIDENTS IN THE LAST 2 YEARS
Emphasizing that the measures implemented have had an effect, Governor Bakan said, "We were pleased to see something that has never happened before, and it caught our attention. In this city, there has been no robbery or pickpocketing in 2024 and 2025. This is a situation that confirms you are on duty and in the field."
"IF YOU ARE IN THE FIELD, EVIL WILL HAVE TO FLEE"
Thanking the personnel involved in ensuring peace in the city, where crime statistics have decreased compared to the previous year, Governor Bakan stated, "If you are in the field, evil will have to flee. We are responsible for the trust given to us."
The program was also attended by Deputy Governor Yüksel İnal and Police Chief Ayhan Saraç.
