In the Izmit district of Kocaeli, construction work next to a five-story apartment building demolished the wall of a bedroom in an apartment on the first floor. As the wall collapsed, the room was filled with concrete, and the homeowner, who was asleep at the time, learned about the incident when the workers knocked on the door.
While concrete pouring was being carried out at a construction site located in the Kadıköy neighborhood of İzmit district in Kocaeli, the wall of a room on the 1st floor of a 5-story apartment building next to the construction area collapsed.
WOKE UP TO FIND HIS BEDROOM HAD COLLAPSED
With the complete collapse of the wall, the room was filled with concrete. The apartment owner, M.R.Ç., who was asleep at the time, learned about the collapse when the construction workers rang the doorbell. The homeowner was shocked by the scene he encountered when he entered the room.
THE CONTRACTOR WILL COVER THE DAMAGE
Upon notification, AFAD and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the area. The teams conducted investigations in the apartment and the construction work. Meanwhile, it was learned that the contractor would cover the damage.
