The President of MIT, İbrahim Kalın, held a meeting with Syrian President Ahmed Shara and accompanying high-level officials. During the meeting, various topics were discussed, one of which was ensuring the integration of the YPG, which has come under scrutiny following the PKK's decision to disband, by laying down its arms.

The President of the National Intelligence Organization (MIT), İbrahim Kalın, met in Syria with Syrian President Ahmed Şara, Syrian Foreign Minister Esad Hasan Eş-Şeybani, and Intelligence Organization President Hüseyin El Selame.
"THE INTEGRITY OF SYRIA'S TERRITORY IS IMPORTANT"
According to information obtained from security sources, during the meeting that took place yesterday, bilateral relations between Turkey and Syria were discussed, emphasizing the importance of Syria's territorial integrity, sovereignty, and political stability. It was also confirmed that Turkey will always stand by Syria.
"YPG SHOULD DISARM AND INTEGRATE INTO SYRIA"
Like other groups, the YPG's disarmament and integration into the new Syria, border security, customs gates, and the transfer of prisons and camps housing ISIS members to the administration were also discussed during the meeting. It was emphasized that Turkey is ready to provide any support needed by the Damascus administration.
Within the context of regional developments, issues such as Israel's attacks on Syria and air violations, the lifting of all sanctions against Syria, the fight against ISIS, and the voluntary and safe return of Syrian refugees to their homeland were discussed.
