In Maltepe, Istanbul, a 30-year-old man who entered the sea to swim began to struggle in the water after a while and, despite the efforts of nearby citizens, could not be saved and lost his life.

The incident occurred around 5:20 PM near Orhangazi City Park. According to allegations, Murat Y. entered the sea to swim. Shortly after, as the person started to struggle in the water, nearby citizens threw a life buoy to Murat Y.

The 30-year-old person could not be rescued from the sea, and police, fire, and medical teams were dispatched to the scene. It was determined that Murat Y., who was pulled from the sea by the marine police, had lost his life. The deceased's body was taken to the morgue of Kartal Dr. Lütfi Kırdar City Hospital after the examinations were completed.
