In an extraordinary accident at Pearland Regional Airport in Texas, a helicopter collided with a parked airplane. Security camera footage shows the pilot miraculously walking away from the crash. The accident occurred at 9:30 AM on Sunday when a black Robinson R44 helicopter lost control while approaching its hangar. The helicopter, attempting to land, struck a parked white airplane. The rotor blades, still spinning at the moment of impact, hit the airplane multiple times and shattered. According to a statement from the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office, the pilot, who was alone in the helicopter, escaped the accident unscathed. Emergency service teams that arrived at the scene determined that the pilot did not require medical attention. Security camera footage shows three hangar staff rushing to assist the pilot immediately after the accident. The Federal Aviation Administration has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash. This incident has been recorded as the second lucky accident following an event in August when a plane crashed onto a golf course, narrowly missing a golfer.
