It has been reported that Furkan Yavuz, a member of a criminal organization involved in mafia conflicts in Spain last summer, was killed in a shooting in the city of Binche, Belgium. Yavuz was said to be the right-hand man of Caner Koçer, one of the leaders of the criminal organization "Daltonlar," who was executed in Torrevieja in August. Belgian media announced that Furkan Yavuz was shot by the rival criminal organization "Casperlar."

The same organization had also targeted Koçer and Yavuz in Estepona, Spain, on July 20, but the duo escaped the attack unharmed. Koçer was executed on August 4 in Torrevieja, and it was claimed that the attack was a revenge for the two members of the rival gang who were killed. It was alleged that Yavuz might have been injured in the attack and returned to Belgium to try to reorganize operations.

EXECUTION IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET

After Yavuz was shot, footage of the attackers trying to escape from the police circulated on social media.

"Daltonlar" and "Casperlar" are known to be two rival criminal organizations with origins in Istanbul's underworld, but have spread to different countries in Europe in recent years. These gangs, which have been relatively unknown in Spain until now, have started to make a name for themselves with the recent executions.

WHAT HAPPENED IN SPAIN?

In the attack in Torrevieja, Koçer was ambushed in the city center after being followed, according to the Guardia Civil's findings. The 21-year-old Koçer was caught in a hail of bullets from his rivals on Spanish soil. Following the attack, three suspects (aged 23, 30, and 35, all Turkish citizens) were detained and arrested by the court they were brought before.

According to Belgian media, security sources reported that "the new generation of the Turkish mafia continues the bloody methods inherited from traditional criminal organizations, but has now also taken the competition to social media." Rival gangs announce their presence through mutual threats and flashy posts on social media after the executions.
