The identities of the six individuals who lost their lives in a fire at a perfume filling facility in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli have been revealed. It has been reported that Şengül Yılmaz, Tuğba Taşdemir, Cansu Esetoğlu, Nisa Taşdemir, Esma Gigan, and Hanım Gülekin lost their lives in the fire. Additionally, a detention order has been issued for three individuals as part of the investigation.
New details have emerged regarding the fire that broke out in a 5-story perfume warehouse located in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli.
A fire broke out at a 2-story perfume filling facility in the Mimar Sinan neighborhood at 09:00. The fire, which started for unknown reasons, quickly grew. The flames also spread to the roof of a building next to the workplace. Citizens reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Upon notification, fire, health, and police teams were dispatched to the scene. The teams that arrived shortly extinguished the fire.
ONE OF THE INJURED IS IN CRITICAL CONDITION
Kocaeli Governor İlhami Aktaş stated that the fire has been completely extinguished and reported that 6 people lost their lives in the incident. Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya, who made a statement regarding the incident during a live broadcast, indicated that 5 people were injured, one of them critically.

Meanwhile, in the investigation launched regarding the fire that claimed the lives of 6 people, arrest warrants have been issued for 3 individuals.
FIREFIGHTERS FOUND THE BODIES OF 6 PEOPLE
Firefighters encountered the lifeless bodies of 6 individuals when they entered after extinguishing the fire. The teams are continuing their work in the warehouse. Meanwhile, a person who emerged injured from the flames was also recorded on a mobile phone.
"THERE WAS AN EXPLOSION, I SAW ONE PERSON ON FIRE"
Mehmet Düzgüner, a resident of the neighborhood, stated that he extinguished a burning worker with a hose at the moment the incident occurred, saying, "There was an explosion, and when I went outside, I saw one person on fire. I extinguished the person with the hose in the garden. I heard voices from inside, but I couldn't go in because of the fire. They say there were 4-5 people inside. I could hear screams from inside, but I couldn't enter," he said.
2 PROSECUTORS ASSIGNED
Justice Minister Yılmaz Tunç, who made a statement regarding the fire, said, "An investigation has been quickly initiated with our Gebze Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the fire that occurred in a perfume warehouse located in Kocaeli Dilovası. One Chief Public Prosecutor Deputy, 2 Public Prosecutors, and an expert committee have been assigned. We have learned that 6 people lost their lives." he said.
PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN'S CONDOLENCE MESSAGE
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan shared a post on social media regarding the fire tragedy in Kocaeli. In his post, Erdoğan stated, "I pray for God's mercy on our brothers who lost their lives in the fire that occurred in a warehouse in the Dilovası district of Kocaeli. Our relevant units, especially the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, have started their investigations regarding the fire. I extend my condolences to the families and relatives of our brothers who lost their lives, and I wish a speedy recovery to our injured."

Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, Kocaeli Governor İlhami Aktaş, Kocaeli Metropolitan Mayor Tahir Büyükakın, and district mayors visited the area for inspections. After the inspection, Kocaeli Governor İlhami Aktaş stated, "From the very first moment of the incident, our friends primarily focused on extinguishing the fire and conducting search and rescue operations. The fire was already brought under control in a very short time. Cooling efforts were also carried out. Necessary investigations regarding the cause of the fire are being conducted under the coordination of the public prosecutor. I wish a speedy recovery to our citizens, and may God have mercy on those who lost their lives. There are also friends who survived the fire. The workplace has a license. We have also discussed this with our Minister of Labor. The cause of the incident, the status of the business, and all administrative procedures will be thoroughly investigated and examined.
