The identity of the attacker who was shot and killed while attempting to illegally enter President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida with a shotgun and a fuel canister has been identified. It was reported that the 21-year-old attacker was neutralized after pointing a weapon at security forces, and that his family had filed a missing persons report two days prior.

HE HAD A RIFLE AND A FUEL CAN
Secret Service agents guarding the residence shot the male suspect in his 20s. It was reported that the suspect died after the intervention. Trump was said to be in the capital, Washington, at the time of the incident. The Secret Service stated that the suspect was trying to enter through the north gate and was armed with a shotgun and a fuel can.

After the incident, Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw held a press conference, stating that the attacker was found to have entered the residence's garden at 1:30 AM local time. "A sheriff's deputy and two Secret Service agents went to that area to investigate the situation," he said.
Bradshaw reported that the attacker had a gasoline can and a shotgun, saying, "He was ordered to drop what he had, but he dropped the gasoline can and aimed with the shotgun. At that moment, the sheriff's deputy and two Secret Service agents fired their weapons, neutralizing the threat. The man died at the scene," he stated. Bradshaw also showed a photo of the shotgun carried by the attacker.
IDENTITY CONFIRMED
The identity of the deceased attacker has been confirmed as 21-year-old Austin Tucker Martin. Authorities stated that his family, living in North Carolina, had reported him missing two days prior.
FBI SEEKS PUBLIC ASSISTANCE
Meanwhile, Special Agent Brett Skiles from the FBI's Miami Field Office stated that the investigation into the incident is being conducted by the FBI and requested public assistance. Skiles said, "If you live in the area where the incident occurred, please check your outdoor camera footage from last night and early this morning. If you see the suspect or anything unusual, please contact us." Skiles also stated that teams are on the scene collecting evidence.
