Adana Demirspor President Bedirhan Durak and Gaziantep FK President Memik Yılmaz have been referred to the PFDK due to illegal betting advertisements. It was stated that the two presidents are accused of facilitating the broadcasting of advertisements for an illegal betting company in the stadium.
The president of Adana Demirspor, Bedirhan Durak, and the president of Gaziantep FK, Memik Yılmaz, have been referred to the PFDK due to illegal betting.
The statement made by the PFDK is as follows;
"The president of ADANA DEMİRSPOR A.Ş., BEDİRHAN DURAK, has been referred to the PFDK with precautionary measures starting from 29.10.2024 due to his involvement in the broadcasting of an advertisement for a company alleged to be an illegal betting company during the same match, in accordance with Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations... The president of GAZİANTEP FUTBOL KULÜBÜ A.Ş., MEMİK YILMAZ, has also been referred to the PFDK with precautionary measures starting from 29.10.2024 for his involvement in the broadcasting of an advertisement for a company alleged to be an illegal betting company during the same match, in accordance with Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations."
THEY MAY FACE PRISON SENTENCES
According to Article 57 of the Football Disciplinary Regulations, it has been stated that Adana Demirspor President Bedirhan Durak and Gaziantep FK President Memik Yılmaz may face a ban of three months to one year.
ARTICLE 57
(1) Individuals covered by this Regulation;
a) Are prohibited from directly or indirectly betting and playing similar games of chance on football matches and/or any activity related to football.
b) Cannot have any direct or indirect duties or interests in businesses, organizations, and institutions that promote, mediate, organize, or conduct betting or similar games of chance related to football matches (excluding public institutions and organizations).
(2) Individuals acting contrary to this will be punished with a ban from matches or deprivation of rights for a period of three months to one year.
