İkbal's mother, Hatice K., warned in the videos she published that the father should definitely not be given money directly. Hatice K. stated that she was cheated on by her husband, Umut K., some time ago, and then was kicked out of her home, starting to live with her family in Adana. Hatice K. claimed that Umut K. spent the money given directly and the money coming from the donation boxes, saying, "I went to the prosecutor's office and filed a complaint. After these images spread on social media, I had to make a statement. Right now, we are living under difficult conditions with my family, and I am a victim. You can only transfer money to the account approved by the Governorship. This is already a blocked account; there is money coming in, but nothing going out. Our case is still ongoing. The only thing I want is for justice to be served," she said.
