An indictment has been prepared regarding the death of 2-year-old Sıla, who was subjected to violence and sexual abuse in the Malkara district of Tekirdağ and passed away in the hospital where she was receiving treatment. A total of 67 years of imprisonment has been requested for her mother, B.Y.
Five suspects have been charged in two separate indictments regarding the death of 2-year-old Sıla, who died in the hospital after being sexually abused and assaulted in Tekirdağ.
TWO SEPARATE INDICTMENTS HAVE BEEN PREPARED
The indictment prepared by the Tekirdağ Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the mother B.Y. (29), the neighbor K.A. (32), who is the father of one of the children, and S.Ö. (57), with whom the mother lived, was sent to the Tekirdağ 3rd High Criminal Court, while the indictment regarding the juvenile offenders G.K. (14) and K.A. (13) was sent to the Tekirdağ 2nd High Criminal Court.
67 YEARS OF IMPRISONMENT REQUESTED FOR THE CRUEL MOTHER
In the indictment, a total of 67 years of imprisonment was requested for the mother B.Y. for the crimes of "intentional killing with negligent behavior," "destruction, concealment, or alteration of evidence," and "violation of obligations arising from family law." For the juvenile offender K.A., the father K.A. was charged with "sexual abuse of a child" and "deprivation of liberty," with a total of 28 years and 6 months requested. For S.Ö., with whom the mother B.Y. lived, 1 year and 6 months of imprisonment was requested for the crime of "failure to report the crime, concealment." For the juvenile offender G.K., a total of 66 years was requested for "qualified sexual abuse of a child" and "deprivation of liberty," while for K.A., 48 years for "qualified sexual abuse" and aggravated life imprisonment for "intentional killing" was requested.
5 PEOPLE HAD BEEN ARRESTED
The mother B.Y., living in the Malkara district, took her daughter Sıla to Malkara State Hospital on September 8, stating that Sıla had not woken up. Upon examination, the baby was diagnosed with a brain hemorrhage and suspected sexual abuse and was referred to Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital, and the police were informed.
The baby was placed in intensive care intubated after brain surgery. In the investigation, the mother B.Y., S.Ö., their neighbor K.A., and her 13-year-old son K.A. and 14-year-old G.K. were detained, and the suspects were arrested by the court they were brought before. Sıla's 5-year-old sibling A.Y. was also placed under state protection. Tekirdağ Bar Association President Gürcün stated that it was determined by the forensic medical report that the 2-year-old girl, who was brought to the hospital due to assault and was under treatment in intensive care, had been sexually abused. Sıla passed away on October 7 at Tekirdağ Dr. İsmail Fehmi Cumalıoğlu City Hospital, where she had been treated for a month.
