The indictment regarding the investigation of Ayhan Bora Kaplan, the number two figure and secret witness of the investigation, and the "government conspiracy" allegations made by Serdar Sertçelik, has been completed for 6 police officers and 11 suspects. When the indictment is accepted, the police officers who are considered suspects will be tried for crimes such as "abuse of power", "disclosure of official secrets", "favoring the guilty", and "attempting to influence the witness".

The Ankara Republic Prosecutor's Office has prepared an indictment against 11 suspects, including 6 police officers, connected to the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization within the scope of the "secret witness" investigation. According to the information obtained, the indictment was sent to the Ankara 13th Criminal Court of First Instance.

POLICE OFFICERS INCLUDED AS SUSPECTS

In the indictment, former Ankara Provincial Deputy Police Chief Murat Çelik, former Organized Crime Branch Director Kerem Gökay Öner, former Branch Deputy Director Şevket Demircan, former Branch Commissioners Ufuk Gültekin, Gökhan Karaca, and Metehan İlkyaz, as well as Nurullah Özgür Kopuk, Ramazan Kubat, Adem Kaçan, Mustafa Çotuk, and Erdoğan Sertçelik are listed as "suspects".

IF INDICTMENT IS ACCEPTED, THEY WILL BE TRIED WITH IMPRISONMENT

If the indictment is accepted, Öner will be tried for "abuse of duty", "disclosure of official secrets", and "favoring the guilty" crimes, facing 2 to 11 years of imprisonment. The other police officer suspects, Çelik, Demircan, Gültekin, İlkyaz, and Karaca, will be tried for the same crimes as well as the crime of "attempting to influence a witness", facing 4 to 15 years of imprisonment.

Among the civilian suspects, Kopuk will be brought before the judge for the crime of "attempting to influence a witness", facing 2 to 4 years of imprisonment. Kaçan, Çotuk, Kubat, and Sertçelik, on the other hand, will be tried for the crime of "favoring the guilty", facing 6 months to 5 years of imprisonment.

SERDAR SERTÇELİK INVESTIGATION SEPARATED

The Prosecutor's Office decided to separate the investigation into the suspects for the crime of "agreement for a crime" under Article 316 of the Turkish Penal Code, which falls under the title "Crimes Against the Constitutional Order and the Functioning of This Order", and to conduct it under a different investigation number.

Due to the inability to obtain his statement, the investigation into Serdar Sertçelik, who is a defendant in the Ayhan Bora Kaplan criminal organization case and was apprehended in Hungary while being sought with a red notice, was also separated.
