We still have a long way to go, as significant damage has been done to the entire spectrum of bilateral relations. This couldn't even be dreamed of before."
THE POSSIBILITY OF A MACRON-PUTIN MEETING Speaking about the possibility of a meeting between French President Macron and Putin, Peskov noted, "He had previously stated that he was ready to communicate with Putin. However, no real steps have been taken in this direction. On the contrary, he has taken a position supporting the continuation of the war in any form." Peskov remarked that after contacts with the U.S. administration and within the framework of the "suddenly emerging dynamics in Russia-U.S. relations," it will become clear over time how Europeans' attitudes will change.
