Our national boxer Busenaz Sürmeneli, the reigning Olympic champion, has managed to secure her place among the last 8 boxers in the women's 66kg category at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

BUSENAZ IN THE QUARTERFINALS

The women's 66kg round of 16 in the boxing branch took place at the North Paris Arena in the capital of France, Paris. Our national boxer Busenaz Sürmeneli, the reigning Olympic champion, advanced to the quarterfinals by defeating Aneta Rygielska from Poland 4-1 in the women's 66kg round of 16.

REIGNING OLYMPIC CHAMPION

Sürmeneli won the gold medal in the women's 69kg boxing category at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Busenaz Sürmeneli, who won the gold medal in the women's 69kg category at Tokyo 2020, became the first female athlete to win a championship in Turkish boxing history.
