The list of roads to be closed to traffic within the scope of security measures to be taken due to the 36th NATO Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will take place in Ankara on July 7-8, 2026, has been announced by the Ankara Governorship.
Ankara Governorate has taken security and traffic measures to ensure the security of the summit, maintain public order, and sustain the peace and safety of citizens within the scope of the 36th NATO Summit to be held on July 7-8.
HERE ARE THE ROADS TO BE CLOSED
According to the statement from the Governorate, in this context, at the Presidential Complex where the Summit meetings will be held, from 07:00 on Tuesday, July 7, to 23:59 on Wednesday, July 8, the entire Presidential Boulevard, the entire Presidential Street, the entire Alparslan Türkeş Street, the entire Beştepe Street, the entire Söğütözü Street, the entire Bahriye Üçok Street, the section of Şehit Öğretmen Şenay Aybüke Yalçın Street between İsmail Karakaya Street and Söğütözü Street, the entire section of Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Street between Dumlupınar Boulevard and Çetin Emeç Boulevard, and the entire section of Sakıp Sabancı Boulevard between Beştepe Street and AŞTİ will be closed to vehicle traffic, parking will not be allowed on the specified routes, and parked vehicles will be removed.
Regarding the addresses where guests will stay, some streets and avenues will be closed to vehicle traffic from 07:00 on Monday, July 6, to 23:59 on Wednesday, July 8, parking will not be allowed on the specified routes, and parked vehicles will be removed.
YENİMAHALLE
In this context, in the Yenimahalle district, the entire 350th Street of Mehmet Akif Ersoy Neighborhood, the entire 286th Street, the entire 147th Street of Çamlıca Neighborhood, the entire 145th Street, the entire road on the side of the entrance gate of Selçuk Ecza Deposu facing Anadolu Boulevard, the entire 173rd Avenue of Macun Neighborhood, the entire 171st Avenue, the entire 172nd Avenue, the entire Yaşam Street of Beştepe Neighborhood, the entire Adalet Street, the entire 5th Street, the entire Nergiz Street, the entire 4th Street, and the entire 1st Street will be closed to vehicle traffic only during convoy passages, parking will not be allowed on the specified routes, and parked vehicles will be towed.

In the Çankaya district, the entire Kişinev Street of Yıldızevler Neighborhood, the entire Jose Marti Street, the entire 720th Street, the entire 721st Street, the entire Tahran Street of Kavaklıdere Neighborhood, the entire Billur Street, the entire Bülten Street, the entire Güniz Street, the entire Arjantin Street, the entire İran Street, the entire Polonya Street, the entire Şehit Ömer Haluk Sipahioğlu Street, the entire Boğaz Street, the section of Atatürk Boulevard between John F. Kennedy Street and Esat Street, the entire Gülözü Street, the entire Ufuk University Street of Kızılırmak Neighborhood, the entire 1443rd Street, the entire 1452nd Street, the entire 1377th Street of Oğuzlar Neighborhood, the entire 1380th Street, the entire 1381st Street, the entire 2168th Street of Söğütözü Neighborhood, the entire 2169th Street, the entire 2170th Street, and if necessary, the entire streets and avenues within Bilkent Campus of Üniversiteler Neighborhood, the entire İhsan Doğramacı Boulevard, the entire 1600th Avenue, and the entire 1613th Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic only during convoy passages, parking will not be allowed on the specified routes, and parked vehicles will be removed.
On the routes to be used by guest heads of state and government and delegations, the entire section of Ankara Ring Road (O-20 Highway North Ankara Region) between the Ortaköy Location Connection of Mamak district and Yuvaköy Road of Yenimahalle district, the entire Özal Boulevard, the entire İsmet İnönü Boulevard, the entire Ankara Boulevard, the entire Anadolu Boulevard, the section of Atatürk Boulevard between Sıhhiye Bridge and Çankaya Street, the section of Mevlana Boulevard between Kepekli Junction and Akköprü, the section of Dumlupınar Boulevard between İsmet İnönü Boulevard and 1596th Avenue, the section of 1071 Malazgirt Boulevard between Dumlupınar Boulevard and Mevlana Boulevard, the entire Türk Kızılayı Street, the entire Cinnah Street, the entire Çankaya Street, the entire Simon Bolivar Street, the entire Rabindranath Tagore Street, the entire John F. Kennedy Street, and the entire 2453rd Street will be closed to vehicle traffic only during convoy passages, parking will not be allowed on the specified routes, and parked vehicles will be towed.
ALTERNATIVE ROADS TO BE USED
Drivers who will use Mevlana Boulevard from the Kepekli direction can use Turan Güneş Boulevard, Şehit Savcı Mehmet Selim Kiraz Boulevard, and Dikmen Street as alternatives, while drivers who want to enter Mevlana Boulevard from the Akköprü direction can use Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard and İstanbul Street.
Drivers who will use Anadolu Boulevard can use Melih Gökçek Boulevard, Şaşmaz Boulevard, İvedik Street, and Serhat Street as alternatives; drivers who will use Atatürk Boulevard can use Necatibey Street and Mithatpaşa Street as alternatives; the alternatives for drivers who will use Ankara Boulevard will be Fatih Sultan Mehmet Boulevard, Başkent Boulevard, and Bağdat Street.
It was stated that it is important for citizens to choose alternative routes when planning their travel and to comply with traffic signs and direction boards in order to avoid any grievances.
