The man who died a week ago was found thanks to the spreading bad smell.

The incident occurred around 12:30 in the Muratpaşa district, Meydankavağı neighborhood, in a 4-story apartment building. The residents of the building, who complained about a strong bad smell, reported the situation to the manager. The manager tried to reach Seyfettin Özzencir, who lived in the apartment, after determining that the smell was coming from the 4th floor. Despite all their efforts, the manager couldn't reach Özzencir, so he reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center when he heard the sound of a phone coming from the apartment. The police, health, and fire brigade teams were dispatched to the building upon the report. The teams, who had to wear masks due to the strong smell coming from the apartment, determined that Seyfettin Özzencir, who lived alone, had passed away when they entered.

"HIS DAUGHTER STRUGGLED TO STAND"

While the prosecutor and crime scene investigation teams were called to the scene, the situation was also reported to Özzencir's relatives. Seyfettin Özzencir's daughter Merve, son Mert, ex-wife, brother, and relatives also came to the building. Özzencir's daughter Merve had a hard time standing and occasionally collapsed to the ground. Her brother Mert supported her by hugging her.

THE BODY HAS BEEN WAITING AT HOME FOR 1 WEEK

After the examination by the crime scene investigation team and the prosecutor, Seyfettin Özzencir's lifeless body was taken to the Antalya Forensic Medicine Morgue for autopsy. The teams suspect that Özzencir passed away 1 week ago. It was learned that Özzencir had an argument with his neighbor 8 days ago and the police took action against him.
