Leonard Jones, a man who had an argument with his girlfriend in the US, attempted to set her house on fire by pouring gasoline in the late hours of the night. The young woman who was inside the house during the fire managed to safely escape through the flames. Leonard Jones was arrested on charges of aggravated arson and domestic violence.
An angry boyfriend in the state of New Jersey, USA, set fire to his girlfriend's house. The flames engulfed the entire place while the young girl was inside. Four people, including Leonard Jones, the boyfriend, managed to escape safely from the fire.
Police reported that 50-year-old Leonard Jones started the fire at around 3:00 am after having an argument with his girlfriend at their home on Old Beekman Road in South Brunswick. The South Brunswick Police Department said that the police were called to the Middlesex County home after Jones refused to leave.
NEIGHBORS WITNESSED THE INCIDENT
According to a report in the New York Post, when the police arrived at the scene, they received a report that there was a fire at the house. Despite the fire engulfing the entire single-family home, all four people, including Jones, managed to safely escape. Neighbor Elise Campanella said that before the fire department arrived, one of the residents knocked on her door and warned her about the "terrifying" fire. She said, "It was quite big, and my main fear was that the trees would fall onto my house. It was a crazy fire."
Jones was arrested while he was outside of his house and was charged with aggravated arson and domestic violence.
