61-year-old Ali Süer, who left home after a disagreement with his family in Bursa and had been missing for 72 hours, returned to his home voluntarily. Süer, stating that he stayed in a forested area for three days and did not come out even though he heard the search teams, was taken to the hospital for a check-up after his return. His health condition was reported to be good.
No news had been received for days from Ali Süer, 61, living in Ekmekçi District, Karacabey, Bursa. After a quarrel with his family on the night of June 19, Süer left his phone at home and departed.
Following a missing person report from his relatives, a large-scale search operation was launched under the coordination of the Karacabey District Gendarmerie Command. Teams from AFAD, AKUT, and KUMDAK also joined the efforts.
STAYED IN FORESTED AREA FOR THREE DAYS
Teams searched forested areas, pond surroundings, and rural regions for three days. Ali Süer, who had been unaccounted for for approximately 72 hours, returned home of his own accord during the night hours.
In his statement, Süer explained that after the argument, he went to a mountainous and forested area and said he had not eaten anything for three days.
HEARD THE TEAMS' VOICES
Ali Süer stated that during the search operations, he heard the teams' voices twice from a distance but did not reveal himself. It was learned that Süer spent most of this time around Yarış Pond and Ekmekçi District.
When Süer returned home on his own around 01:30 a.m., health teams were notified.
HEALTH STATUS REPORTED GOOD
Ali Süer, found to be somewhat weak, was taken to Karacabey State Hospital for a check-up. Following examinations, his health condition was declared good.
Ali Süer's safe return home was greeted with joy by his family and the teams who had been conducting search efforts for days.
