A Canadian man was arrested at New Delhi airport after a crocodile skull was found in his luggage. STOPPED DURING SECURITY CHECKThe 32-year-old man, whose name has not been disclosed by the authorities, was stopped during a security check at Indira Gandhi International Airport (DEL) while traveling from Doha to Canada. WEIGHING 777 GRAMSAuthorities stated, "As a result of the examination, a skull resembling a baby crocodile jaw, with sharp teeth, weighing approximately 777 grams, was found wrapped in a cream-colored cloth." SKULL HANDED OVER TO AUTHORITIESIt was noted that the skull belonged to a species protected under the country's Wildlife Protection Act and that the individual caught violated the law and the Customs Act. Customs officials reported that the skull was handed over to the Ministry of Forests and Wildlife for laboratory testing.
