In a statement made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, it was announced that heavy snowfall is expected in the southeastern part of Eastern Anatolia. The meteorology department warned the 7 cities where snowfall is anticipated about the potential adverse conditions that may arise.

The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a strong snow warning for the southeastern part of Eastern Anatolia.

According to the statement made by the General Directorate, it is predicted that the expected precipitation in the southeastern part of Eastern Anatolia will increase in intensity from the evening hours, and will be strong in the regions of Van, Hakkari, Siirt, Şırnak, Bitlis, Ağrı, and Iğdır.

WARNING AGAINST NEGATIVES

It is expected that the precipitation will be strong and locally heavy snow in the areas of Van, Hakkari, and Bitlis, as well as strong rain and mixed rain and snow in the western parts of Siirt and Şırnak, gradually turning into snow.

The Directorate stated that caution and preparedness are necessary against disruptions in transportation, icing, frost, strong winds, and blizzards due to heavy snowfall.
