The fire, which was intervened by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality fire brigade from both land and sea, was extinguished. The motor yacht became unusable due to the fire. It was learned that no one was on board the yacht, which had been anchored for a long time, during the fire.

Halil İbrahim Karadağ, who intervened in the fire, said, "I think the fire started in the engine room. We intervened with at least 10 cylinders, but we couldn't extinguish it; it continued."
