A swift denial came to the claim made by Ümit Özdağ, the leader of the Victory Party, that the book titled "Syrian Family Law" was sent to family courts by the Ministry of Justice. The Ministry of Justice stated that the allegations are completely baseless and initiated an investigation regarding the said posts.

The Ministry of Justice has stated that the claim made by Ümit Özdağ, the leader of the Victory Party, and quoted by some social media accounts, that the book titled "Syrian Family Law" has been sent to family courts by the Ministry of Justice, is completely baseless.

In the statement made by the Ministry, it was emphasized that such a book has not been sent to any institution or organization.

INVESTIGATION INITIATED

The statement also mentioned that the claims made by Ümit Özdağ on the X platform, which he shared and then deleted, regarding "judges making evaluations based on Syrian law in cases related to Syrian family law" and "the state covering the litigation expenses of Syrians when they file lawsuits" are also untrue. An investigation has been initiated by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the false posts aimed at misleading the public.

The statement warned not to trust individuals who spread false information that is detrimental to public peace and contains disinformation.
