The murder of "What are you looking at?" in the middle of the street.

On December 27, 2023, around 11:00 PM, a chilling incident occurred on Komando Street in the Yeni Mahalle neighborhood of Batman. Drunk Abdullah Yıldız stopped the car he was in with his uncle A.E. and two friends and urinated by the roadside.

MURDER COMMITTED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET

During this time, Yıldız started arguing with İbrahim Halil Etike (18), who was passing by. Yıldız approached Etike and shot him in the head with a gun he pulled from his waist.

THOUGHT HE WAS HAVING A NERVOUS BREAKDOWN AND SHOT HIS NEPHEW

The uncle A.E. who got out of the car shot his nephew Yıldız in the leg with his gun, thinking he was having a nervous breakdown. Uncle A.E. and the two suspects fled the scene in the car. Nearby citizens took the shot Yıldız to the hospital.

18-YEAR-OLD YOUNG MAN LOST HIS LIFE

Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. Etike was taken to Batman Training and Research Hospital after the first intervention by the medical teams. Despite all the doctors' efforts, Etike lost his life. His lifeless body was buried in Batman Asri Cemetery after the autopsy.

Suspect Abdullah Yıldız was detained after his treatment at the hospital. Other suspects were also caught by the teams of the Homicide Bureau of the Provincial Police Department after reviewing the camera footage.

"I DON'T EVEN REMEMBER THE INCIDENT"

It was learned that Yıldız killed İbrahim by saying "What are you looking at?" and stated in his testimony, "I was very drunk, I don't even remember the incident. I don't even remember being shot later."

HE WAS ARRESTED

After their procedures, the suspects were brought to court, and Abdullah Yıldız was arrested by the court. The other suspects were released under judicial control. It was also learned that Abdullah Yıldız had previously applied to Batman Training and Research Hospital and Iluh State Hospital due to excessive alcohol consumption.
