In the investigation of Narin Güran, who went missing on August 21 in the Tavşantepe Village of the Bağlar District of Diyarbakır and whose body was found in a stream bed 2 kilometers away from the village, no evidence was obtained regarding the 91 samples taken from the body before the classical autopsy procedure. According to the information reflected in the investigation file, it was stated that Narin was found at the point where the stream meets the soil by a 5-person underwater search and rescue team at 06:00 on September 8, when they arrived at the coordinates 37.SBF 06008 89639. Narin's body, which was found inside a sack that was wedged under a rock and covered with 3 stones, was reported to have been brought to the shore along with the sack, and the prosecutor was notified afterward. CLASSICAL AUTOPSY WAS PERFORMED AFTER 91 SAMPLES WERE TAKENUpon the prosecutor's instructions, the sack was torn open, revealing 2 slippers that Narin was wearing on the day she went missing, a food bag, and an Elifba (a Turkish alphabet learning tool). To prevent the loss of evidence, the body and the sack were transported to the Diyarbakır Forensic Medicine Institution Group Presidency without altering their form. The 3 large rocks that covered the body were also brought to the ATK. A scoping procedure was performed before the body was removed from the sack. Biological findings and swab samples were taken from the body, which underwent molecular and genetic examination. After taking 91 samples that would reveal all kinds of crimes, including abuse, a classical autopsy was performed. SAMPLES WERE EXAMINED, NO DNA BELONGING TO ANOTHER PERSON WAS FOUNDFor toxicological examination, 1 container of soil, 1 container of hair, 1 tube of bladder wash fluid, and samples of muscle, stomach contents, liver, and kidney were taken from the body. For entomological examination, dead larvae, live larvae, and pupae were collected from the body. For histopathological examination, samples of brain, lung, and subcutaneous tissue were taken. For biological examination, swabs taken from the bag at the head of the body included slippers, t-shirt, tank top, bag zipper, inside of the bag, back swab of the shorts, skirt, red scarf, red plastic clip, pink button, pink bag, Elifba, swab from the string of the bag at the foot, swab from the pink bag string attached to the sack, front swab of the underwear, swabs from the right and left groin, oral cavity, face and chest, internal and external genital area swabs, hand and nail swabs, and samples were also taken from 2 teeth and 1 toenail that had fallen outside the sack. All these samples were sent to the Istanbul Forensic Medicine Institution. The 91 samples were examined separately, but it was concluded that no DNA evidence belonging to different individuals was found. A PEN BATTERY FOUND IN THE POCKET, NO RESULTSAnother striking detail is that Narin's identity card was also found in the sack. Despite an 8-year-old child having lived in the village, the fact that even the identity card was placed in the sack to leave no evidence revealed how professionally the murder was committed. A sample was taken from a pen battery found in the left pocket of her shorts, which could have DNA evidence, but it was determined that no findings could be made regarding this either. It was noted that the hair sample taken from Narin's tank top and shorts did not contain distinct roots and root sheaths, so it was not subjected to DNA analysis. It was also stated that a stain found on the shorts was not suitable for DNA analysis, so it was not taken. NO PROFILE FOUND FOR MOTHER AND BROTHERAmong the 91 samples sent to the Istanbul ATK, an autosomal STR DNA profile was identified from the oral swab and blood stain samples taken from Nevzat Bahtiyar. It was also reported that there was no match with the DNA profile taken from the findings on the body of the mother, Yüksel, and the brother, Enes. It was reported that the DNA amount of the shorts, bag, and hair swab samples belonging to Narin was low, and no suitable DNA profile was identified for matching. ROCKS WERE ALSO EXAMINED, BUT NO RESULTSSamples were taken from the 3 large rocks that covered the sack in the stream bed where Narin's body was found, as it was evaluated that there could be blood, hair, saliva, nail, and fingerprint genotype-compatible DNA profiles. An examination lasting 2 hours was conducted on the stones brought to the ATK. It was determined that no different DNA profiles were found in the swab samples taken from the nails belonging to Narin, which were named BN 10, BN 10A, and BN 10B, and the samples taken from the scene. While no evidence was obtained from the 91 samples taken regarding who the perpetrators of the murder were, only the cause of death of the little girl was determined. According to the news by Özgür Cebe from Sözcü newspaper, it was concluded that the advanced fractures in the thyroid cartilage in the neck area resulted in her neck being held and her mouth and nose being covered by hand, leading to the trachea being deprived of oxygen and causing her death. Now, the eyes are turned to the report regarding the image solutions sent to TÜBİTAK and the samples sent to the Van Gendarmerie Regional Criminal Laboratory for concrete evidence regarding the perpetrators.
