The investigation into the death of 8-year-old Narin Güran, who went missing in the Tavşantepe neighborhood of the Bağlar district in Diyarbakır on August 21 and whose lifeless body was found yesterday in the Eğertutmaz Stream, is ongoing by the Diyarbakır Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. SEARCH CONDUCTED AT NEVZAT BAHTIYAR'S HOUSEAs part of the investigation, a search was conducted by the Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) at the house of Nevzat Bahtiyar, who was arrested on September 10. The teams left the house after the search operations. "YOU WILL GET RID OF THIS BODY"Nevzat Bahtiyar, who was detained in connection with the investigation into Narin Güran's murder, claimed in his statement to the gendarmerie that his uncle Salim Güran asked him to dispose of the child's lifeless body in the stream for 200,000 lira and was referred to the courthouse. In his statement at the magistrate court, Bahtiyar alleged that his uncle Salim Güran threatened him by saying, "I killed Arif's daughter, and you will take this body and get rid of it. Otherwise, I will kill you and your family," and he was arrested for "participation in intentional murder." NUMBER OF DETAINEES RISES TO 1211 suspects, including N.B., who hid Narin's lifeless body in the Eğertutmaz Stream, as well as Narin's mother, brother, and relatives, had been arrested. The uncle Fuat Güran, who was arrested for "destroying evidence" by the magistrate court, was brought to the courthouse after the gendarmerie's procedures for his wife Hediye Güran, who was detained on September 13. Hediye Güran was arrested by the magistrate court for "participation in intentional murder." Thus, the number of detainees rose to 12. KILLED ON THE DAY SHE WENT MISSINGThe report stated that "a medical evaluation could not be made regarding whether Narin Güran was subjected to sexual assault with the existing data," and it was noted that the girl's death occurred on the date she went missing, August 21. The report included the statement, "It has been unanimously concluded that the child's death was caused by suffocation due to mouth and nose closure and pressure on the neck." LEG SEVERED AFTER DEATHThe report also indicated that the trauma causing the leg to be severed below the left knee was of a nature created by animals after death. The forensic examination report regarding the bite marks on the arm of Narin Güran's brother, Enes Güran, is also expected to be released today.
