In the Torbalı district of İzmir, the burned female body found at a construction site was identified as Emine Dönmez. The woman detained near the body said, 'Dönmez was my mother's former neighbor. She fell ill in the car and started coughing. When I hit her back to help, she hit her head and died. I panicked and burned the body.'
Teams from the Torbalı District Police Department in İzmir responded to a report of a burned female corpse yesterday at around 19:00, heading to a construction site near Fetret Creek off 5508 Street in Yedi Eylül neighborhood.
WOMAN FOUND BESIDE BURNED CORPSE TAKEN INTO CUSTODY Teams identified the burned corpse found at the scene as belonging to Emine Dönmez (73). Dilek D. (46), who was found beside Dönmez's corpse, was taken into custody by police.
Dilek D. in custody Emine Dönmez's body was transferred to the İzmir Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death. While an investigation into the incident has been launched, it was reported that Dilek D.'s processing at the police station is ongoing.
