A striking claim has emerged from England regarding Francesco Farioli, whom Sergen Yalçın harshly criticized during his commentary period. It was suggested that the Italian coach, who has drawn a successful graph in Porto, is among the candidates for the Chelsea managerial position and that the English giant will push all its conditions for the transfer.
After working at Alanyaspor and Fatih Karagümrük in Turkey, Francesco Farioli, who signed with Nice, has now entered the Premier League agenda following his adventures with Ajax and Porto. It has been claimed that Chelsea is looking for a new head coach after parting ways with Enzo Maresca, and Farioli is among the candidates.
THE CLAIM THAT PORTO "IS NOT OPEN TO BARGAINING"
According to reports in the Portuguese press, it was stated that Francesco Farioli is not considering leaving Porto during the transfer window. Additionally, it was suggested that Porto would not negotiate regarding the release clause of the 36-year-old head coach. Nevertheless, it was noted that Chelsea would push all conditions to add Farioli to their squad.
SERGEN YALÇIN'S WORDS ARE ONCE AGAIN ON THE AGENDA
Following Farioli's association with Chelsea, the harsh statements made by Sergen Yalçın in the past have come back to the forefront. Yalçın had used the following expressions regarding Farioli's appointment as head coach of Ajax:
"I can't believe how Farioli went to Ajax. I mean, I can't believe it! The guy is also an analyst, not a head coach or anything. Our Cenk brought him as an assistant to Alanyaspor. He became a coach from there. Can a guy become a coach just by making 3 passes? The guy went to Nice and then to Ajax. I can't believe it, it's a world comedy."
DISAPPOINTMENT AT AJAX, A NEW CHAPTER AT PORTO
Francesco Farioli experienced great disappointment during his time at Ajax. Entering the last 4 weeks with a 9-point lead, Ajax failed to capitalize on their advantage and lost the championship to PSV. After this development, Farioli parted ways with Ajax and later took charge of Porto.
