12.11.2024 16:30

Due to high inflation and the depreciation of the Turkish lira, banks are making changes to their ATM policies. Banks that have imposed restrictions on the use of 10, 20, and 50 TL banknotes have decided to increase daily withdrawal limits by 50% starting from January 1st.

The depreciation of the Turkish lira and high inflation continue to negatively affect citizens' daily lives. The difficulties in cash usage have become even more apparent with the changes banks have made to their ATM policies.

USE OF SMALL BANKNOTES RESTRICTED

The majority of banks have imposed limits on the use of 10, 20, and 50 TL banknotes. Small banknotes are currently almost nonexistent in ATMs. This situation leaves citizens in a position where they have to withdraw larger amounts of money than they need.

LIMITS WILL INCREASE BY 50 PERCENT

As of January 1st, a new regulation is being introduced regarding withdrawal limits at ATMs. Banks have decided to raise daily withdrawal limits in the new year. According to information obtained from industry sources, the limits will be increased by 50 percent. This way, citizens' needs will be better addressed.
