In the first 24 hours, the website named "marketfiyati.org.tr," where citizens can compare the prices of nearly 50,000 products in chain market branches, received 490,000 unique visits and 2,141,000 internal searches.
A FLOOD OF VISITORS IS EXPERIENCED
According to the data from the Ministry of Industry and Technology, there was a heavy influx of visitors to the website "marketfiyati.org.tr," which was opened to access yesterday. In the first day, there were 490,000 unique visits to the site. The number of internal searches reached 2,141,000 during this period. The data of A101, BİM, CarrefourSA, Hakmar, Migros, Turkey Agricultural Credit Cooperatives, and ŞOK are transferred to the systems of TÜBİTAK Informatics and Information Security Advanced Technologies Research Center (BİLGEM) as part of a project carried out jointly by the Central Bank and TÜBİTAK. The center cleanses incoming outliers with the methods and algorithms it has developed, thereby improving data quality. The cleaned data is shared and published in real-time through Cimri Market and Market Tamam applications.
PRICES CAN BE COMPARED IN REAL TIME
With the website, the prices of many products, including basic food items such as fruits, vegetables, meat, chicken, fish, and beverages, as well as cleaning and personal care products, can be compared in real-time. The site contains information on nearly 50,000 products. The "Market Price Mobile Application" is also planned to be launched soon.
