While Istiklal Street and Taksim Square, preferred by local and foreign tourists, were captured from the air, those who came for the celebrations wished for the new year to bring peace, tranquility, and health. Mustafa Açık, who welcomed the new year on Istiklal Street, said, "I want 2025 to be a year where prices are more normal, there are no living difficulties, and no wars in the world. People should live in peace, in love, wars should stop, armament should stop, people should help each other, everyone should love each other, we are all temporary in this world."

Gülsüm Dilay, who came to Istiklal Street to celebrate New Year's with her university friends, said, "2024 was very beautiful for me. My expectations for 2025 are happiness, money, and peace, to put it simply."
