DEM PARTY POSTPONED THE ÖCALAN RALLY IN DIYARBAKIR
The rally planned to be held on January 4th in Diyarbakır Station Square by the Democratic Institutions Platform under the leadership of the DEM Party, demanding freedom for the terrorist organization PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan, has been postponed to a later date due to adverse weather conditions.
The rally organizing committee, which held a press conference at the DEM Party Diyarbakır Provincial Presidency, made the following statement regarding the issue: "The 'Hope and Freedom' rally planned to be held on January 4, 2026, has been postponed to a later date due to the harshest winter conditions in recent years. The preparation process of our rally has once again demonstrated that the demand for Abdullah Öcalan's freedom resonates strongly across all segments of society. In this respect, the planned rally has achieved its main purpose in one aspect. We express our gratitude to our people and constituent structures who have worked tirelessly, day and night."
