In the Reyhanlı district of Hatay, it has been learned that 10-year-old Amir Alcedduh, a Syrian national who had been missing for 3 days and was found buried after being injured on the head with a stone by his uncle, is in good health following a successful surgery at the hospital. Father Muhammed El Cedduh kissed the forehead of the rescue worker who found his son and expressed his wish for the uncle, who committed the crime, to receive the heaviest punishment.
CAUGHT ON A HOUSE CAMERA 10-year-old Amir Alcedduh, a Syrian national living in the Kurtuluş neighborhood of Reyhanlı, went missing after not returning home from school on Friday. The family, unable to get news of their child, went to the Reyhanlı District Police Department to report him missing. Upon the notification, police teams initiated a camera monitoring operation throughout the district, especially in the area where Amir's school is located. As the police teams reviewed over 200 camera recordings, Amir's uncle M.E. was taken into custody as a suspect in the case. Although the uncle, who was caught on a house camera with his nephew on the dam road, claimed he was unaware of his nephew's situation, police, AFAD, gendarmerie, and NGOs began search operations in the area.
FOUND BURIED With the efforts of the teams, the missing child was found buried in the ground with head injuries after 3 days. The child, with whom the teams established a dialogue, stated that he was kidnapped by his uncle after school and was beaten. Severely injured Amir was taken to Hatay Education and Research Hospital, where he underwent surgery and was placed in intensive care. Expressing that his child's condition is good, father Muhammed El Cedduh stated that he does not know why his uncle did such a thing and thanked the state officials and the Turkish people.
UNCLE ARRESTED The 30-year-old uncle M.E., who was taken into custody on Friday and denied the allegations, was arrested by the magistrate court. It was learned that M.E. has a record for 'causing injury by negligence'.
"MY SON SUFFERED UNDER THE STONES FOR 3 DAYS" Kissing the forehead of the rescue worker who found his child, father Muhammed El Cedduh expressed his wish for the uncle who left his son to die to receive the heaviest punishment, saying, "My son went to school at 12:00 noon. His uncle went to the school, took my son, and put him in the car and took him away. My son has been missing for 3 days. All the teams came, we searched, and we found him. After we found my son, he told us, 'My uncle came, took me, and bit me.' We brought him to the hospital, and he was operated on. The surgery was successful, and his condition is good. We do not know why the uncle did this. I thank Turkey very much. All the teams searched for 3 days and found him. I thank them too. We have not slept for 3 days. My son suffered under those stones for 3 days. I want the monster who did this to my son to receive the heaviest punishment. May God protect us all. We want that monster to receive the heaviest punishment possible from our Turkish state," he said.
"THERE WERE 7 STONES AS BIG AS ROCKS ON HIM" Ramazan Albayrak, a volunteer rescue worker, stated that he noticed the child due to a sound and lifted 7 stones that could be described as rocks off the child. "God made it possible for us to find him. I went as a volunteer rescue worker. I was working separately with a friend in another place. I heard a sound. When I went towards the sound, it was a place with garbage and crows. I heard a sound similar to a crow's call and then started looking around. I saw a child under the stones. The child was crying out from under the big stones. I lifted 7 stones that were as big as rocks off the child. When I asked the child about this, he said it was his uncle who did it. I thank everyone involved in the rescue efforts. I cannot truly express my feelings. We did not go home and we are here. My child's surgery was successful. When I lifted the stones, a big stone was on the child's head. That is why there was an injury to his head. When we found him, the child was conscious. He had been there for 3 days, and God does not kill those whom He does not want to kill. We found the child alive, and his good condition was a source of pride for us," he expressed.
