The national team achieved a perfect record of 3 wins out of 3 by defeating Canada 3-0 in the championship held in Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Turkey, which finished Group G as the undefeated leader, will face the Netherlands, the second place team from Group B, in the Round of 16. The Netherlands, which won its first two matches in the group, lost 3-1 to Poland in the leadership match.
