After the armed opposition in Syria toppled the 61-year-old Ba'ath regime in just 12 days, a wave of change in the country began with the flag. Following Assad's escape from the country, the Syrian flag was taken down from the flagpole and replaced with the three-star flag used by the opposition at the beginning of the civil war.
This morning, the Bashar al-Assad regime in Syria fell after a week of clashes. As the opposition entered Damascus, the flag known as the opposition flag, consisting of green, white, and black colors with three red stars in the center, began to be raised and hoisted on poles throughout the city.
THE 3-STAR FLAG WAS HOISTED
With the start of the civil war in Syria, the flag used by the opposition was hoisted in the squares. The flag, which was first adopted in 1932, was re-adopted by the opposition in 2012.
