Yesterday at 3:00 PM, a plane attempted an emergency landing in Victoria, Texas, fell onto the highway, broke in half, and collided with three vehicles. The moment the 1981 twin-engine Piper PA-31 aircraft fell onto the highway was captured by security cameras. The footage shows the plane trying to land on the road at a high speed. Despite making a relatively flat landing, there was significant chaos. After the accident, it was observed that the plane had split in half and its parts were scattered around. One of the vehicles involved in the collision was found to be on its side, with its windshield dislodged and its body shattered. Witness Tony Ponyor described the events: "I thought a Cessna plane was flying over me; it was flying very low. Then it started to sway and tilt. I thought it was going to crash. I was afraid it would fall on me. Then I became concerned about an explosion because there was gasoline on the ground. Surprisingly, nothing was burning, not even smoke. I went to talk to the woman trapped under the wing." Ponyor was the first to rush to help: "I parked my car and ran to the pilot. He was a man in his 70s or 80s. I unbuckled his seatbelt, but the doors were jammed. His face was bloody, but he was conscious. Then I helped the seriously injured woman. Her face and hands were covered in blood, and the medical teams intervened immediately." Victoria Police Department Deputy Chief Eline Moya stated that in the accident near Victoria East High School, three people were lightly injured, and one person was seriously injured. Moya said, "We are glad it didn't end worse. This is not a situation we encounter every day." The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has launched an investigation into the accident that occurred 240 kilometers southwest of Houston. The reason why the plane had to make an emergency landing is still unknown.
