Known as one of the most luxurious hotels in Bodrum, the hotel that previously operated under the name "Paramount" will now start operating under the name "The Plaza Bodrum," but was sealed by the municipality after the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report was canceled. EIA REPORT CANCELEDThe future of the sealed hotel remains uncertain following objections to the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report. The reason for the cancellation of the report was claimed to be unauthorized expansion and room additions at the facility. It has been learned that the owner of the hotel, which is one of Bodrum's prestigious tourism establishments, is Sezgin Baran Korkmaz. It has been reported that the hotel's seasonal prices start at one thousand euros per night and can go up to thirty thousand euros. Following the sealing decision, which has caused a significant stir in the tourism sector, it is eagerly awaited whether the hotel will be able to resume operations. IT CAME TO THE AGENDA WITH PEKER'S ALLEGATIONSFormerly known as Paramount Hotel, it came to the public's attention through videos released by organized crime leader Sedat Peker in 2021; Peker made allegations regarding individuals who vacationed at the hotel in these videos. According to the allegations, many journalists, judicial members, and bureaucrats, including Veyis Ateş, vacationed for free at Paramount Hotel. Peker also claimed that Sezgin Baran Korkmaz had 'taken over' the hotel.
