In the Beyoğlu district of Istanbul, terrifying moments occurred on a private public bus. A person named Ali B. (21) cursed at two individuals waiting for the bus at a stop on Piyalepaşa Boulevard and approached them aggressively. The passengers, trying to distance themselves from the individual, boarded the bus that had just arrived at the stop. INJURED THE BUS DRIVER WITH A CURB STONEAli B, who boarded the bus after the passengers, was removed from the vehicle with the help of the driver Mustafa Gemici (53) and citizens. The assailant then stepped in front of the bus, preventing it from moving. First, he broke the bus's windshield wipers, and then, while the bus driver was calling the police, he threw a curb stone he picked up from the ground. The curb stone that broke the bus door's window hit the driver's head. As the assailant ran away from the scene, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area upon notification. After the first intervention by the medical teams, the injured driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance. THE ATTACK MOMENT CAPTURED ON CAMERAThe horrifying moments on the bus were recorded second by second by security cameras. The footage shows that after the scuffle, the curb stone thrown by the assailant hit the driver's head, and moments when the driver poured water on his head and asked for help from the passengers were captured. THE ASSAILANT HAS A LONG CRIMINAL RECORDThe fleeing assailant was caught in the house where he was hiding 12 hours later as a result of police efforts. It was revealed that Ali B had 52 criminal records. After his procedures at the police station, he was referred to the courthouse, where he was arrested by the judge and sent to prison. "I FAINTED WHEN THE CURB STONE HIT MY HEAD"Describing his experiences, bus driver Mustafa Gemici stated that he saw a few people fighting as he approached the stop, and when he opened the doors, he heard one person shouting, "They robbed me, they stole my money." "At that moment, two of the fighters boarded the bus from the front, and one from the middle door. As soon as they boarded, they disturbed the passenger inside. So, I said, 'Get off.'" Gemici reported that one person got off while the others remained on the bus. Gemici noted that the suspect who got off went in front of the bus, damaged the wipers, punched the vehicle, and continued his actions despite being warned, saying, "He tried to stop the car and block me. This incident lasted 5-6 minutes. While I was trying to get him off the road, when I pulled the car to the right, I heard that 'he took a curb stone.' As soon as I heard this, this person threw the stone from the door he boarded. The stone he threw directly hit my head with the intention of stopping me. At that moment, I fainted." he said. "NOBODY CAME TO VISIT ME"When he went to the hospital, Gemici said that no one from his team or the institution he was affiliated with came to visit him. "I learned this: no matter what happens to you, there is no institution or person standing behind you. Nobody came." he stated.
