After the missiles launched from Iran were consecutively neutralized in Turkish airspace, the Ministry of National Defense announced that a Patriot air defense system has been deployed in Malatya. In the statement, the Ministry of National Defense said, "In addition to the measures we have taken at the national level, NATO has increased air and missile defense measures. In this context, a Patriot System has been deployed in Malatya to support the protection of our airspace."
In the ongoing war between the US-Israel and Iran, two Iranian missiles were neutralized in Turkish airspace after 11 days. Following the consecutive missile launches, the Ministry of National Defense announced that a Patriot system assigned by NATO has been deployed in Malatya to support the protection of our airspace.

The statement from the Ministry of National Defense said, "The determination of our Turkish Armed Forces to ensure the security of our country and our citizens is absolute. In light of the recent developments in our region, necessary measures are being taken for the security of our borders and airspace, and consultations are being held with NATO and our Allies. In addition to the measures we have taken at the national level, NATO has increased air and missile defense measures. In this context, a Patriot System assigned to support the protection of our airspace is being deployed in Malatya. Our country, which maintains its defense and security capacity at the highest level, will continue to assess developments in cooperation and consultation with NATO and our Allies, and will strive for regional peace and stability."
