After the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, social media influencer Elif Uluğ, who was detained during the protests that followed, was sentenced to house arrest. Uluğ, who shared her experiences for the first time, said, "Do not participate in unverified marches; there are no humane conditions inside. I do not want any of you to experience this."
Social media influencer Elif Uluğ, who was detained during the İmamoğlu protests by university students in Şişli, Istanbul, has been released. Uluğ has been placed under house arrest.
Uluğ, who was released under house arrest, stated, "Thank you all very much. Thanks to your support, I was very comfortable inside. For now, I have been placed under house arrest. Everything is fine."

WHAT HAD HAPPENED?
Students had gathered in front of a shopping mall in Şişli to protest the arrest of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IBB) Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu. The young people faced police blockade and were detained. Since March 19, 301 people have been arrested.
