The Turkish National Football Team maintained its position at 27th place in the world rankings announced by the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) for September, with a total of 1,555 points.
The position of the Turkish National Football Team in the FIFA rankings has been revealed as it continues its struggle in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
NATIONAL TEAM MAINTAINED ITS POSITION
In the world ranking announced by FIFA for September, it ranked 27th with 1,555 points. Among its opponents in Group E of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers, Spain rose to 1st place with 1,875 points, while Georgia dropped one place to 68th with 1,377 points. Bulgaria, with 1,271 points, fell two places to 86th.
SPAIN ROSE TO FIRST PLACE
Various changes occurred in the top 5 of the September ranking published on FIFA's website. Spain, which rose to first place, is followed by France, which climbed one spot with 1,870 points, while the previous leader Argentina dropped two places to 3rd. England, with 1,820 points, maintained its 4th place, while Portugal surpassed Brazil with 1,779 points to rise to 5th place. The next FIFA world ranking will be announced on October 23, 2025.
