The president of the AK Party youth branches hospitalized the young girl he argued with at the concert.

In a period when violence against women remains a prominent issue, news has also emerged from Kırşehir. Fatma Banu Çoban (25) attended the Sefo Concert held as part of the Kaman Walnut Festival on October 13, along with her relatives. The young woman was assaulted by Melih Ünlüer, the President of the AK Party Keskin Youth Branch, at the event. While the woman, whose nose was broken, was taken into surgery, it was learned that the AK Party also requested Ünlüer’s resignation.

"HOW DARE YOU TOUCH MY WIFE?"

Describing the incident she experienced after the surgery, Çoban stated that she went to the Sefo concert in Kaman with her aunt, uncle, cousin, and nephew after work. Çoban noted that the person she later learned was Melih Ünlüer was at the front, and when a space opened up, they moved to the side. She said, "His wife next to him said, 'this is our place, how can you pass?' I told her that this area was empty. The gentleman's arm brushed against me several times. I warned him. He didn’t respond at all. Another young man accidentally touched his wife, and he warned the young man in a threatening manner, saying, 'how dare you touch my wife' and took out a card to show."

"MY FACE WAS COVERED IN BLOOD"

Çoban stated that Ünlüer, who later spoke to her, did not use an appropriate tone, saying, "I then warned the person I later learned was his wife, 'could you please tell your partner to speak more appropriately with us?' The woman pulled me by my collar and said, 'how dare you talk to me like that?' Just as I was about to say 'what are you doing,' Melih Ünlüer punched me, and I fell to the ground. The punch hit the right side of my face. It was already the size of my face because he was quite a large person. After that, I got up. My friend next to me said, 'sister, your face.' I didn’t understand at first, but when I touched my face later, it was covered in blood."

After her cousin shouted 'call the police,' Çoban noted that Ünlüer 'dragged his wife by her hair' and left the scene. She said, "'They took me to the police. Later, the police took me to the ambulance. While waiting there, the gentleman was sending his wife to Kırıkkale and boasting at the concert area, saying, 'how I hit the girl.' If my cousin hadn’t seen him talking like that, we might not have been able to find him. Melih Ünlüer claimed he never saw us and didn’t know us, even though there was blood on him, and he denied the incident."
