The soup sold at a restaurant in a hotel in Uludağ is once again in the spotlight this season. Last year, the soup was sold for 500 lira, and this season, it will be offered to holidaymakers for 1,000 lira per bowl. The hotel's operations manager stated that the price of the soup, which contains dried mountain mushrooms and walnuts, is reasonable considering the costs.

Uludağ, one of the important centers of winter tourism and a place where ski enthusiasts flock every year, is in the spotlight not only for its slopes reaching 1980 meters and its nature but also for a soup sold for a thousand lira in a hotel's restaurant. In addition to the thousand lira soup offered at one hotel, the salad on the menu costs 700 lira, and the price of the mountain toast is also 600 lira.

"IT IS MADE WITH MUSHROOMS COLLECTED BY LOCAL PEOPLE"

The manager of the establishment, Süleyman Güngör, stated that the soup is not prepared like other soups, but is cooked upon order and is personalized. He pointed out that there are three different types of mountain mushrooms in the soup, which can cost up to 6 thousand lira per kilo, and said, "Our soup is still available on our menu, and we will continue to provide the same service this season. The mushrooms in our soup are varieties that grow in the forests here. There are also walnuts. We make our soup with mushrooms collected by the local people here. After going through a few processes, it is served to us in this way. Some of the mushrooms are unique to this area, but of course, there are also mushrooms that can be found in other regions," he said.

Güngör stated that the bowl of mountain mushroom soup will be served for a thousand lira this season, saying, "The soup had a huge boom last season. Our soup was already on our menu. The price stood out in an exaggerated way, not the taste. We would have preferred the taste to stand out, the presentation to stand out. It is a special soup, unique to this place. Unfortunately, the price has been more prominent. This year, we will serve our soup for a thousand lira," he said.
