Former Diyarbakır Bar Association President Nahit Eren pointed to the forensic report, stating that insects were found on Narin Güran's lifeless body, and asked, "These insects do not live in water. Nevzat Bahtiyar, did you bury Narin's lifeless body somewhere else before?" Nevzat Bahtiyar responded to this question with, "Absolutely not."
The trial of the four defendants, who are in custody regarding the murder of 8-year-old Narin Güran in Diyarbakır, continues with a demand for aggravated life imprisonment.
DID HE BURY HER SOMEWHERE ELSE BEFORE?
In the case closely followed by Turkey, the possibility that Narin Güran, whose lifeless body was found in a stream bed, may have been buried somewhere else before is being considered. Former Diyarbakır Bar Association President Nahit Eren pointed to the Forensic Medicine report and asked, "Did you understand this report?" Nevzat Bahtiyar replied, "I didn't understand."
"THOSE INSECTS DO NOT LIVE IN WATER"
In response to this answer, Nahit Eren interjected again, saying, "This report states that, from Narin's remains, I can't call it a corpse, the Forensic Medicine Institution said she was killed 19 days before being found. How do they obtain this? From insects, from larvae, there were many of these in Narin's body, and they derive the date from this. Now the report says that this body is completely in the water, these insects do not live. Therefore, I ask you once again, Nevzat Bahtiyar, did you bury her somewhere else before?" Nevzat Bahtiyar answered this question, "Absolutely not."
