A retired police officer who warned a person listening to loud music while going to the mosque in Aksaray was assaulted and stabbed after the warning, in the presence of his grandson. An investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
While entering the mosque in Aksaray, a retired police officer who warned a person listening to loud music in a vehicle was first assaulted and then stabbed.
WARNED THE PERSON LISTENING TO LOUD MUSIC
The incident occurred near Genç Osman Park in Cumhuriyet Neighborhood. According to the information obtained, retired police officer Ali Rıza A. (55), who left home with his grandson to go to the mosque, noticed a person listening to loud music in a parked vehicle by the park as he walked towards the mosque. As he approached the vehicle, Ali Rıza A., disturbed by the loud music, warned the unidentified person in the vehicle to lower the volume.
STABBED THE RETIRED POLICE OFFICER IN FRONT OF HIS GRANDSON
The person, who ignored the warning, first hurled insults and threats, and when the retired police officer tried to intervene and call the 112 Emergency Call Center, he got out of the vehicle, assaulted him, and then stabbed him. The injured man collapsed to the ground in a pool of blood, and police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. The medical teams, who arrived at the address shortly, provided first aid to the injured person at the scene before transporting him to the Emergency Department of Aksaray Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. The injured retired police officer, after getting out of the ambulance, explained the incident to the press members who were filming him.
"THERE ARE SUCH CITY THUGS"
Retired police officer Ali Rıza A. stated, "I was recording a video because they were broadcasting music loudly. First, they stole my phone. Then, while my grandson was next to me, they beat me. Then they stabbed me. There are such city thugs. Even though I told them I was a security officer, and despite saying I have no problem with you, they assaulted me. They stabbed me. These are not human beings. I will file a complaint and press charges," he said.
It was learned that the health condition of Ali Rıza A., who was treated in the hospital, is good, while the police initiated a search for the person who committed the incident.
