An investigation has been launched into the program "Zahide Yetiş ile Yeniden Başlasak," which aired a 'sexually explicit image' during a live broadcast. RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin stated, "If a violation is detected in the broadcast in question, necessary steps will be taken decisively."

Mehmet A, who was attacked with a knife by his wife in Adana, participated in Zahide Yetiş's program and claimed that his wife Sabriye A was cheating on him; Yetiş had shown Mehmet A explicit images allegedly belonging to his wife and asked him to identify her.

REACTION POURED IN

There was a backlash against Zahide Yetiş showing Mehmet A explicit videos of a woman allegedly his wife live on air. Users commented, "The woman in the video is not the same person. They put the woman under suspicion for the sake of ratings. The woman should report everyone, not just the program," while the RTÜK also took action.

RTÜK TOOK ACTION

The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) announced that it has launched an investigation regarding the broadcast in question.

RTÜK President Ebubekir Şahin stated in a post on his social media account, "RTÜK is not an institution that acts with disinformation and manipulations. However, if a broadcasting organization under our supervision makes a broadcast contrary to principle decisions and legal regulations, we will not hesitate to take necessary actions. An investigation has been initiated regarding the program 'Zahide Yetiş ile Yeniden Başlasak' aired on Star TV," he said.

Şahin also stated, "If a violation is detected in the broadcast in question, necessary steps will be taken decisively."
